The ammendment process has concluded with all eight proposals passing (a first?). All but one of the proposals will go into effect for the coming season. The Franchise Player rule will go into effect at the conclusion of NEXT SEASON. We do this with all rules that effect players currently under contract. It is both to mitigate changes to recent trades and to keep owners from trying to push through rule changes simply to benefit their current situation.

I would imagine many of you are like me and dying to get your hands on the ratings. Jason Ley heard from DK this past week and he says they are coming out this upcoming week. While trading is currently allowed for those under the $83M cap, I would again encourage owners to refrain from trading players whose ratings are unknown. In addition, let me remind all to check the salary spreadsheet each time you get a new copy for errors. Errors are inevitable with the many entries.

We will now allow owners who are new to the league select a stadium. This would be owners who joined the league after last year's stadium draft or were precluded from drafting last year because they were off-cycle. This is a new rule, this year is a unique implementation of the rule, and the new rule did not stipulate who gets preference should two owners choose the same stadium. I am attempt to keep this simple, I am going to create a thread for you to post your stadium picks. Should two or more owners wish to choose the same stadium, it will go to the owner who has been in the league the longest. As your stadium no longer dictates your division, I don't anticipate many owners making duplicate requests. You may select any stadium in the 2010 game that isn't already used be another team. You can check that through the 2009 game file.

Owners that have played in the league a year may now rename their teams. Please keep it fairly simple. If you joined the league after the conclusion of this past season, you must play in the KRFL for a year prior to renaming your team.

We still have two teams available (Kutztown and Hamden) if you know of anyone who would like to join.

One last thing. I opening up the role of commissioner. Should any of you like to be commish, please send me email. This is a role I take on for my love of this league. I would actually enjoy the league more if someone else were commissioner. I am not quitting as commish, just seeing if someone else is interested in the posiition.

Ralph
